The Santa Barbara International Film Festival will honor four-time Academy Award nominee Julianne Moore at the 25th edition of the Festival with the Montecito Award, which runs February 4 -14, 2010, it was announced today by SBIFF Executive Director Roger Durling. Stage and screen thespian Philip Seymour Hoffman has teamed up with There Will Be Blood writer-director Paul Thomas Anderson on a new drama in which Hoffman plays the founder of a new religious organization in the 1950s. The projects banner, Universal, will decided whether or not to pull the tirgger on the estimated $35 million dollar film after Anderson delivers the final script.
