Cherry Lane Theatre has announced casting for the first production of the company's award-winning MENTOR PROJECT 2016, Christopher Gabriel Nuñez's play THE SURGEON AND HER DAUGHTERS, being presented at Cherry Lane (38 Commerce St.) from February 24 to March 5, it has been announced by Seri Lawrence and Janio Marrero, MENTOR PROJECTS' Producing Artistic Directors

Yale Repertory Theatre presents the world premiere of THE MOORS by Jen Silverman, directed by Jackson Gay, beginning tonight, January 29, where it will run through February 20 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street). Opening Night is Thursday, February 4.

Italian native Max Leonida, best known for his films 'Backward' (Cannes finalist), 'Mandala' and 'Memento Mori' and upcoming film 'Light Wounds', is directing Theresa Rebeck's 'Spike Heels' at the LA Little Theater in the Brentwood, Los Angeles area. Actress London Vale is playing the role of 'Georgie', with Vadim Dardagani as 'Andrew', Jonathan Looper as 'Edward' and Shakara Wyatt as 'Lydia'.

The Greek tragedy Medea by the irreverent Euripides slashes across the stage with the revenge of a woman scorned, starring nationally-acclaimed classical actress, Franchelle Stewart Dorn in the title role. The production runs at the Long Center for the Performing Arts (701 W. Riverside Drive), February 17-March 6, 2016 and is presented by Austin Shakespeare.

"Dead Accounts," Theresa Rebeck's darkly comic take on the chasm that divides Americans in the Midwest from their countrymen living in New York, will be the second play of the Hampton Theatre Company's 2015-2016 season, opening on January 14 at the Quogue Community Hall and running through January 31.
