New Dr. Seuss Book, WHAT PET SHOULD I GET? to be Published, 7/28

An original manuscript with accompanying sketches by Dr. Seuss, aka Ted Geisel, which was discovered in the La Jolla, California home of the late beloved children's author will be published by Random House Children's Books, it was announced today by Barbara Marcus, President & Publisher, and Susan Brandt, President, Licensing and Marketing, Dr.Seuss Enterprises, L.P. WHAT PET SHOULD I GET? will be published on July 28, 2015.

The San Diego History Center, located in Balboa Park, will launch its 2015 Centennial Celebration year on Friday, November 21, 2014, with a marquee exhibition celebrating San Diego's renowned local author, Theodor Geisel. Entitled INGENIOUS! The World of Dr. Seuss, the exhibition, developed in cooperation with locally-based Dr. Seuss Enterprises, L.P. and Chase Art Companies, will feature artwork by Geisel, some inspired by San Diego locales. This whimsical fun-filled exhibition will also include family-friendly activities based on Dr. Seuss books' underlying themes: Literacy, the Environment, Family, and Community.

Playful, energetic and full of whimsy, Seussical engages the imagination with clever lyrics and melodies, unforgettable characters and the colorful world of Dr. Seuss. Seussical is written by the Tony Award-winning team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, whose works include Ragtime, Once on This Island and the current Broadway production of Rocky, The Musical. Eric Idle of Monty Python and Spamalot fame co-conceived the musical. Directed by Scott Weinstein with musical direction by Michael Mahler, Seussical will be performed July 5 through August 17 in CST's Courtyard Theater.

Disney Publishing Releases Three New Titles Commemorating 10th Anniversary of Mo Willems' Award-Winning Books

To commemorate the tenth anniversary of Mo Willems' award-winning Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!, Disney Publishing Worldwide will publish three new titles.
