The Old Globe presents its third production of the 2014 Summer Season, Ronald Harwood's comedy Quartet, directed by Richard Seer (Other Desert Cities, God of Carnage, The Last Romance). Harwood received an Academy Award for his screenplay of The Pianist and was nominated for The Diving Bell and the Butterfly and The Dresser (also a hit on Broadway and the West End). Quartet will play in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, today, July 25 - August 24, 2014.
The Icicle Creek New Play Festival (formerly known as the Icicle Creek Theatre Festival) will add two new workshops to its line-up in addition to featuring two plays written by esteemed playwright Steven Dietz (Becky's New Car) and Carly Mensch (TV's 'Weeds' and 'Nurse Jackie').

Marcus Stevens, presently starring in "Forbidden Broadway: Comes Out Swinging," made a special appearance in Drexel Hill, PA yesterday to meet the cast and enjoy his musical, "Elliot and the Magic Bed." Stevens wrote the book and lyrics for "Elliot" and Brian Lowdermilk, one half of the successful singer-songwriting duo, Kerrigan-Lowdermilk, composed the music and wrote the lyrics with Stevens. The musical was originally commissioned for Upper Darby Summer Stage in 2003.
