The Off-Broadway premiere of The Lightning Thief was nominated for Outstanding Musical by the Lortel Awards in 2015. This 60-minute musical is recommended for audiences age 8 and up.
The University of the Arts' Ira Brind School of Theater Arts announces the 2016 lineup for Polyphone, a "festival of the emerging musical" on the UArts campus in Philadelphia. Running March 20-27, the 2016 the Polyphone festival produces staged concerts of new musicals and re-imagined canonical works offering professional composers, librettists and directors an opportunity to develop their work among the rich creative community of the Brind School at UArts. The festival will program five musicals, including both classical and new works, with three performances each.

Nevertheless, their bond begins to fracture the hard rules of time as their story unfolds across vast prairies, on the decks of silently sailing war ships, and entwined with the chaotic trenches of Europe's no-man's land. Mary's Wedding captures an extraordinary moment of innocence and courage with rare sensitivity and beauty.

What do you give the person who has everything? For Irving Berlin, the answer was a song. According to Hershey Felder, the composer wrote for "the people" - in some cases, specifically for his wife and children. Perhaps Felder had the same audience in mind when he wrote his one-man show, "Irving Berlin." Just under two hours long with no intermission, the robust production is an incomparable gift in itself.
