Just yesterday BroadwayWorld was saddened to report that Carrie Fisher, best known as Star Wars' Princess Leia Organa, died after suffering a heart attack. She was 60.

This week the Broadwaysted crew is so excited to 'Build a Snowman' (okay, record an episode) with Broadway sweetheart and talent powerhouse Patti Murin! We pour out Pearl Necklace Sauvignon Blanc and discuss Patti's two trips to see FALSETTOS and her three times seeing HAMILTON.

Last night, BroadwayHD had an advanced screening of the final film in New York City, and BroadwayWorld had a chance to talk to some of the stars of the production, as well as the producers behind BroadwayHD, about how they felt about the finished product.

This highly anticipated engagement features a dazzling cast of five Broadway stars accompanied by an all-star New York band and is set to perform at the Fox Theatre on Sunday, November 6 at 3 p.m. 

The National Youth Music Theatre celebrated its 40th birthday in style - with ENCORE: 40 Years of NYMT, a star-studded West End gala night at the Adelphi Theatre. The glittering evening, on Sunday 30 October, featured an array of performances celebrating the last 40 years of NYMT, lots of surprise guests and items and some previews of what is to come. Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) launched the public phase of the JUST IMAGINE Where Dreams Take Center Stage campaign on Wednesday, October 19th with a kickoff event announcing the lead gift of $4,000,000 from Margaret Alkek Williams to name the Margaret Alkek Williams Center for Arts and Education.

Theatre Under The Stars would like to introduce the cast of the upcoming TUTS production of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show.

Mother Emanuel, the winner of FringeNYC's Overall Excellence Award: Musical, will return to the Soho Playhouse as part of the Fringe Encore Series starting September 9th.

Over the weekend, I had an opportunity to enjoy an evening of theatre outdoors in one of the area's loveliest and most unique venues - El Molino Viejo, The Old Mill, in San Marino. I'd never been there before, but since I love historic buildings and grew up on Sunday afternoon westerns, I was immediately intrigued by an invitation to see THE LIGHT OF WESTERN STARS in the mill's garden courtyard.

The International Theatre Festival in Lebanon was launched Augest 8th  in Nabatieh. Present were Efraz Al-Haj representing the minister of culture, Rabie Shaddad representing the ministry of tourism, the head of Nabatieh Municipality, Ahmad Kahil, the Italian cultural attache Edoardo Crisafului, the French cultural atache Eric Lebice, a delegation from Reje headed by Nasif Seklawi, General Hussein Hasan representing the general director of Internal Security Forces and the people and students from Nabatieh.

World-renowned ballet artists will share the stage for one spectacular night of dance at Festival Ballet Theatre's Gala of the Stars on Today, August 12, 2016 at 6pm.

MOTHER EMANUEL An American Musical Play Opens at FringeNYC 8/13   Rebel Theater in association with The Present Company presents MOTHER EMANUEL, an American Musical Play conceived by Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj and co-written by Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj, Adam Mace and Christian Lee Branch starting Saturday August 13 at Soho Playhouse as part of the 2016 New York International Fringe Festival.
