Theatre for a New Audience will present He Brought Her Heart Back in a Box, the first new work in nine years from Adrienne Kennedy.

The critically acclaimed Shakespeare's Globe production of Farinelli and the King, starring three-time Tony Award-winner (Twelfth Night, Jerusalem, Boeing-Boeing) and Academy Award-winner (Bridge of Spies) Mark Rylance, begins tonight, December 5, 2017 in advance of an opening night on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Broadway's Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street).

Austrian Stage presents the US and English-language premiere of In the Dead Mountains, a staged reading of the absurd drama by Austrian playwright Thomas Arzt. The performance will be followed by a talk with translator Neil Blackadder, director Guy Ben-Aharon, and Jacob M. Appel, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Project: Theater will present a private reading of MAY DAY, by Ryan Krause, adapted from the F. Scott Fitzgerald novella of the same title. With Iliana Stein as director, MAY DAY will offer one presentation on Monday, November 20.

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), announces that acclaimed Director Julie Taymor will be honored with the distinguished 2018 Mr. Abbott Award for outstanding artistry and creativity over the course of her career. The Award will be presented at the Foundation's annual gala event on April 2, 2018 in New York City, venue to be announced.
