SHUT UP SWEET CHARLOTTE Comes To The Rose and Alfred Miniaci PAC 11/19, 11/20, 11/22

Fresh from an acclaimed four-city debut tour which garnered New Orleans' Big Easy Awards for Best Comedy and Best Director and included a sold out three-month run in Provincetown, Mass., Shut Up, Sweet Charlotte! comes to the Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center located at the Nova Southeastern University campus in Davie. Performances are scheduled for Thursday and Friday, November 19 and 20 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, November 22 at 2 and 7 p.m.

Rapp, Kron & Corthron Set for Play Co's Idea Lab at New Dramatists, 10/26

A panel of prominent American playwrights including Kia Corthron, Lisa Kron and Adam Rapp, will discuss with celebrated photographer Ken Collins how they approach creating portraits with words and with a camera, respectively at a one-time-only event entitled 'Face to Face: Portraits in Theatre and Photography' on Monday, October 26 at 7 p.m. at New Dramatists (424 W. 44 St.) in Manhattan. Presented by the Off-Broadway theater company, The Play Company as part of its Idea Lab series, in conjunction with Umbrage Editions, the evening will also feature brief excerpts from the playwrights' work along with an exhibition of photographs from 'In Their Company,' a series of black and white portraits by Mr. Collins that portray some of America's most distinguished playwrights. A reception follows in the New Dramatists Library.

Mee's FULL CIRCLE To Premiere at Woolly Mammoth Theatre, 10/26

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company continues Season 30, the 2009-10 Season, with a creative staging of FULL CIRCLE by Charles L. Mee (Big Love, bobrauschenbergamerica) that will be performed throughout the Woolly facility.

Yale Rep Announces Cast and Creative Team for POP!, World Premiere 11/27

YALE REPERTORY THEATRE (James Bundy, Artistic Director; Victoria Nolan, Managing Director) announces complete casting and the creative team for the world premiere of POP!, a new musical with book and lyrics by Maggie-Kate Coleman and music by Anna K. Jacobs, directed by Mark Brokaw. POP! will play for 22 performances only, November 27-December 19. Opening Night is Thursday, December 3.
