It may be a dull morning here in Glasgow but we're holding out for a spell of brighter weather as the West End multi Olivier award-winning hit musical Sunny Afternoon confirms its cast. Produced by Sonia Friedman Productions and Ambassador Theatre Group, the show, which received four awards at the 2015 Olivier Awards including Best New Musical and Outstanding Achievement in Music for Ray Davies, will open at the Manchester Opera House on Friday 19 August 2016 before rocking the King's Theatre Glasgow from Tuesday 11 until Saturday 15 October 2016.                                                                                      

Starring Daniel Portman (Podrick Payne, Game of Thrones) and Lily Loveless (Naomi, Skins), John Fowles' classic story of obsession comes to the Vaults Theatre in London this August in a brand new production directed by Joe Hufton (Associate Director, Alice's Adventures Underground; director, Secret Cinema's Dead Poets Society, Scarlett at Southwark Playhouse, Portia at Theatre503).

Artistic Director Anda Winters today announces Print Room at the Coronet's forthcoming season running through until December 2016. The season opens with Tennessee Williams' A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur, directed by Michael Oakley. The production opens in the main theatre space on 15 September, with previews from 12 September, and runs until 7 October.

Sally Knyvette and Theatre503 today announce the full cast for the world premiere of Burning Bridges, a new play by Amy Shindler.  Knyvette directsAnne Adams (Kate), Rae Brogan (Sarah) and Simon Bubb (Dan). The production opens at Theatre 503 on 16 September, with previews from 13 September, and runs until 8 October.

Set against a black backdrop with unsettling moments of complete darkness, a small audience is sealed in an atmospheric Vault under the Waterloo railway arches. Winner of the Best Theatre award at Adelaide Fringe 2015, and the Underbelly Adelaide Award 2015, this is the London premiere of CUT - an edge-of-your-seat thriller, written by award-winning Australian playwright Duncan Graham and performed by Hannah Norris.

As America celebrates its 240th Birthday today, let's talk about what is probably one of the greatest musicals ever written, and it only came about 46 years before Hamilton. 1776 dramatizes the story of how John Adams was able to persuade his colleagues to vote for American independence as well as signing the Declaration of Independence. While the musical does dramatize the most important event in American history, the story behind the musical is probably just as interesting.

Second Stage Theatre will present the world premiere of Sofia Alvarez's FRIEND ART, directed by Portia Krieger, and the New York premiere of Lucy Teitler's ENGAGEMENTS as part of the company's fourteenth annual SECOND STAGE THEATRE UPTOWN SERIES this summer.

The Curing Room, David Ian Lee's powerful play, which caused a huge stir at the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and subsequently played a limited season at the Pleasance Islington, will return to London this summer with a four-week run at the Vaults Theatre, Waterloo from tonight 4 - 29 May, with a press night on 4 May.

ALL OR NOTHING, the new musical which has been a sell-out sensation in London, today announces a UK wide tour, starting on Monday 6 June at the Hawth Theatre in Crawley and playing nationwide through until 29 October at the Wycombe Swan.  Confirmed casting includes Carol Harrison as 'Kay Marriott'.

Second Stage Theatre will begin the 2016 Uptown Series with the world premiere of Sofia Alvarez's FRIEND ART, directed by Portia Krieger. FRIEND ART will feature ZOE CHAO, AARON COSTA GANIS, ANABELLE LEMIEUX and Tony Award nominee CONSTANTINE MAROULIS (Rock of Ages, "American Idol"). FRIEND ART will begin previews on Tuesday, May 17th and will officially open on Thursday, May 26th.
