New Dramatists Honor Fierstein With Lifetime Award

NEW DRAMATISTS, Tony Honor recipient and the nation's premiere playwright development workshop, proudly announces that four-time Tony Award-winner HARVEY FIERSTEIN will be honored with their 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award at its 59th Annual Spring Luncheon tribute, to be held Thursday, May 15th at the New York Marriott Marquis. Arthur Laurents is Luncheon Chair. Fiersein's A Catered Affair costar, Faith Prince will be on hand to offer tributes to Mr. Fierstein. New Dramatists 59th Annual Spring Luncheon has been underwritten by Bob Boyett. Jujamcyn Theaters, The Nederlander Group and The Shubert Organization add their support as benefactors for the yearly event.

Phylicia Rashad Honored at Amas Benefit March 31

Amas Musical Theatre will celebrate its 39th year with a Gala evening on Monday, March 31 featuring a special 'Blast from the Past' concert performance of Mama, I Want to Sing, a star-studded concert of the gospel, pop, and rhythm and blues hit musical that began at Amas in the early nineteen eighties. The Amas Gala will also honor award winning actress Phylicia Rashad and PricewaterhouseCoopers with 'The Rosie Award', named for Amas Founder Rosetta LeNoire.

'Passing Strange' Adds 3rd Track for Download on Site

A third track - 'Arlington Hill' - from the Broadway musical Passing Strange - the new musical that will begin previews on Broadway February 8 prior to its official opening February 28 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street) - has been added to the show's website, www.PassingStrangeOnBroadway.com, and is now available for download.

'Equus' with Radcliffe & Griffiths Hits Broadway Sept. 2008

Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths will star in the acclaimed West End-transfer revival of Peter Shaffer's classic and controversial play, Equus. Performances begin September 25, 2008 for a limited engagement through February 8, 2009. A theatre has not been announced
