Broadway's most talked about new musical and the biggest Tony Award-winner in years is coming to the Orange County Performing Arts Center.

Penumbra Theatre Company, the nation's preeminent African American theatre, proudly announces the opening of Black Nativity: A Season for Change, by T. Mychael Rambo and Lou Bellamy, directed by Dominic Taylor, with musical direction by Sanford Moore on Thursday, December 3, 2009. The production will run December 3 - December 27, 2009.

HOW TO BE A GOOD ITALIAN DAUGHTER - the solo play written and performed by Antoinette LaVecchia - will conclude its Off-Broadway engagement at Cherry Lane Studio Theatre in NYC following the performance on Sunday, December 13, 2009, it has been announced by the play's producer, Arje Shaw of Jones Street Productions.

THE GIVER, with a book by Lois Lowry and Nathan Christensen, music by Scott Murphy, and lyrics by Nathan Christensen, will hold a premiere reading at the Theatre Company at CAP21 on November 23rd. The cast for the reading will include Nick Blaemire, Vivienne Cleary, Jeff Edgerton, Frank Galgano, Bridget Harvey, Jaimie Kelton, Heather Matarazzo, Kathleen Oliva, Eric Peterson, and Nick Wyman. The reading will be directed by Pamela Berlin.

The Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre continues the celebration of its 20th anniversary season with a series of cabaret evenings November 17 - 22 spotlighting the exciting Helen Hayes Award-winning actress/singer Natascia Diaz and the acclaimed Scottish singer Euan Morton, whose performances have been called 'sensational' by The New York Times.

With the 2009 Summer Classical Repertory Season at a close, The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum broadens its scope to focus on activities such as its year-round educational programs and ongoing development series for playwrights, 'Botanicum Seedlings.' The program's Fall Playreadings are Laura Shamas' Trapper Joan on Sunday, November 15 and Twigs and Bone by Tiffany Antone on Sunday, November 22. Readings begin at 1 pm, and admission is free.

Adult sketch comedy troupe FUCT www.FUCTnyc.com will be performing a special one-night only event, The Midnight Mustache Show, as part of Movember www.Movember.com, at Midnight on November 21st at Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater, 307 West 26th Street, New York, NY (between 8th Avenue & 9th Avenue). Full casting is set for the upcoming Arena Stage production Stick Fly by Lydia R. Diamond (The Bluest Eye and The Gift Horse).

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater continues its 15th anniversary season with the world premiere of Post No Bills, a Tex-Mex play with music by Mando Alvarado. Directed by Michael Ray Escamilla, performances begin Thursday, November 11th, 2009. Opening night is Thursday, November 19th at 7pm. The show is scheduled to run through Sunday, December 13th, 2009.

New York's acclaimed Public Theater, in association with Cameron Mackintosh, are delighted to announce that 'HAIR', the 2009 Tony-Award winning musical, will open at the Gielgud Theatre on Wednesday 14 April 2010, following previews from 1 April. Tickets go on sale Friday 20 November 2009.

The shows to be presented will include Like Water for Chocolate, A Thousand Words Come to Mind, and Kansas City Choirboy. Tony Award winner Victoria Clark (the Light in the Piazza), will team up with Broadway vets John Hillner (La Cage) and Andy Karl (9 to 5) for a staged reading of the 1983 Maltby and Shire musical Baby on November 16 at The Shop at CAP 21.
