According to an interview with the Windy City Times, Idina Menzel is considering 'a couple' of new Broadway projects.

The New York Times is reporting that Alec Baldwin will return to Broadway in the Spring of 2013 in a new production of OPRHANS, to be directed by Tony-winner Daniel Sullivan. There is no word yet on a theatre or additional cast members for the production.

Producers Carole Black and Pat Mitchell announced today that EMOTIONAL CREATURE, the new play written by Tony Award®-winning playwright, performer, activist, and The Vagina Monologues author Eve Ensler, will get a New York premiere this fall.

Silk Road Rising is set to present the World Premiere of Night Over Erzinga, written by Adriana Sevahn Nichols and directed by Lisa Portes. Night Over Erzinga runs October 9 - November 11, 2012, in Pierce Hall at The Historic Chicago Temple Building, 77 W. Washington St, Chicago. Press opening is Saturday, October 13 at 3:00 pm.

The Community Theatre of Little Rock will present its Summer Musical Production of 'Hairspray". Show dates are July 13th , 14th, 20th,21st, 27th and 28th at 7:30 pm and July 15th, 22ndand 29th at 2pm to be held at the PUBLIC Theatre, located at 616 Center Street, next to Horn's Men's Store in downtown Little Rock.

As part of the multi-award-winning Finborough Theatre's Summer Season, acclaimed US playwright Joshua Conkel makes his UK debut with the world premiere of the darkly comic The Sluts of Sutton Drive, opening at the Finborough Theatre for a strictly limited run of six Sunday and Monday performances from today, 24 June 2012 to the 9th of July.

The artist, along with Town & Country Magazine, will celebrate the opening of the exhibit with a reception hosted by Shane Guffogg, Julian Sands, Jason Schwartzman, Nona Summers, Tara Summers, and Gloria Vanderbilt. Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater produces the 2011 Tony Award-winning production of Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart, directed by George C. Wolfe. Wolfe, who directed the show's sold-out Broadway engagement last season, mounts the professional D.C.-area premiere of this production, which features returning Broadway cast members Patrick Breen and Luke MacFarlane, among others. New York Theatre Workshop world premiere production of Food and Fadwa, written by Lameece Issaq and Jacob Kader, and directed by Shana Gold, opens officially tonight, June 7 at NYTW. Food and Fadwa is a co-production with Noor Theatre, a company-in-residence at New York Theatre Workshop.
