The South Florida Theatre League's Remy awards, named in honor of Remberto Cabrera, the former Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs' Senior Cultural Administrator and Chief of Cultural Development, are given annually for Outstanding Service, and for Pioneering in South Florida regional theatre.

Kristin Scott Thomas will play the Queen in a new version of Peter Morgan's The Audience. Stephen Daldry's production will preview at the Apollo Theatre from 21 April 2015, with press night on 5 May 2015 and is booking to 25 July 2015. Tickets are released for sale today (31 October 2014). The Audience has designs by Bob Crowley, with lighting by Rick Fisher, sound by Paul Arditti and music by Paul Englishby. Bang-Galore: An evening of new plays, sketches and B-sides by Ken Ferrigni will play for one weekend only at The Chain Theatre in Long Island City.

Boston Playwrights' Theatre (BPT) continues its 2014-15 season of new plays next week with Monica Bauer's Chosen Child.

WAM Theatre's Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven is pleased to announce the cast and creative team for the New England premiere of In Darfur, by Winter Miller. A timely, compelling drama, In Darfur will run from tonight, October 30 - November 16 at Shakespeare & Company in the Berry Family Studio of the Elayne P. Bernstein Center.

Lewiston's Public Theatre opened its 2014-2015 season with the excellent choice of A.R. Gurney's comedy of manners, The Cocktail Hour. Assembling a fine, experienced cast and creating a tasteful production, this performance reminds us of what an American treasure Gurney is as a playwright.

Joining Katie Brayben playing the title role in the West End production of Beautiful - The Carole King Musical is Ian McIntosh as song-writer Barry Mann.
