Channeling a little bit of horror, a little bit of fear, The Other Theatre returns to its creative roots with a new collective work inspired by the weirdness of H.P. Lovecraft, directed by Stacey Christodoulou. Playing in English and French at Bain St. Michel from tonight, April 16-20, in collaboration with Infinitheatre.

Producing Artistic Director Michael Menendian and Co-Artistic Director JoAnn Montemurro announce Raven Theatre's 2013/2014 season which includes The Trip to Bountiful by Horton Foote, Vieux Carre by Tennessee Williams, Good Boys and True by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and The Playboy of the Western World by John M. Synge.

Today we are talking to a Tony Award-winning star known for her many impressive appearances on Broadway in JELLY'S LAST JAM, PLAY ON!, THE WILD PARTY and her tremendous title turn in the towering CAROLINE, OR CHANGE - the one and only Tonya Pinkins. Opening up about her career and many of her most memorable roles, Pinkins lets us in to her world and shares experiences of working with some of the most noted names in theatre - George C. Most importantly, Pinkins fills us in on all the details about her upcoming Ethel Waters tribute at 54 Below and what we can expect from one of musical theatre's most dynamic divas taking on the song catalog of an entertainment pioneer in this New York premiere of the in-development new musical solo spotlight showcase. Additionally, Pinkins shares some candid reminiscences about some of her most fondly remembered film and television roles - such as ABOVE THE RIM, BEAT STREET, ROMANCE & CIGARETTES, ENCHANTED and others - as well as offers her thoughts on the ever-changing world of soaps, having appeared in major roles on both AS THE WORLD TURNS and ALL MY CHILDREN. Trigger Creative, in association with The Present Company, as part of the 16th Annual New York International Fringe Festival, presents the World-premiere REDlight - documentarian Ryan Kipp's journey into the loves, lives and loses of the performers and patrons of one of Atlanta's most notorious gay strip clubs, as viewed through the eyes of a heterosexual dancer at the club - Mr. Kipp himself. REDlight is directed by Jennifer Tuttle and Marc Santa Maria, with choreography by Carol Johnson.
