The Old Globe welcomes Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein, making his musical directing debut with RAIN, a sumptuous world premiere musical by one of the most significant teams working in theatre today: composer and lyricist Michael John LaChiusa and book writer Sybille Pearson. Based on the short story by Somerset Maugham, RAIN will play now through May 1, 2016 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Children's Theatre Company to Close 50th Anniversary Season with DIARY OF A WIMPY KID

Children's Theatre Company (CTC) will end its 50th Anniversary Season with the much anticipated world premiere of the musical based on the blockbuster, best-selling Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The famous book series by Jeff Kinney has been sold worldwide, has been brought to the silver screen through three films, and for the first time ever, is being developed into a new musical by CTC in conjunction with Fox Stage Productions and Kevin McCollum (producer of Rent, In the Heights, Avenue Q, and Something Rotten!). This is CTC's fifth and final world premiere in a single season.

Jay Armstrong Johnson to Make Feinstein's/54 Below Debut This Month

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Jay Armstrong Johnson, currently starring on ABC's smash-hit drama 'Quantico' and recent star of Broadway's acclaimed 2014 revival of On The Town, will make his Feinstein's / 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) solo debut on April 27, 29 and 30. Singing everything from Sondheim to Dixie Chicks, Johnson will be joined all three nights by a full eight-piece all star-band and special guests Billy Lewis Jr. ('Glee') and Lindsay Mendez (Wicked).
