FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Jay Armstrong Johnson, currently starring on ABC's smash-hit drama "Quantico" and recent star of Broadway's acclaimed 2014 revival of On The Town, will make his Feinstein's / 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) solo debut on April 27, 29 and 30. Singing everything from Sondheim to Dixie Chicks, Johnson will be joined all three nights by a full eight-piece all star-band and special guests Billy Lewis Jr. ("Glee") and Lindsay Mendez (Wicked). On April 30th only, Todrick Hall (MTV's "Todrick") will be guest-starring alongside Lewis Jr. and Mendez. Tickets are on sale now at www.54Below.com.

Johnson has wowed Broadway audiences in On The Town (Chip), Hands on a Hardbody (Greg), Hair (Claude), and Catch Me If You Can. The New York Times called his performance as Anthony Hope in the New York Philharmonic's Sweeney Todd "affecting and ardent," and his performance as Herman in Encores' Most Happy Fella "a standout." Known for his thrilling vocal prowess in modern projects like Ryan Scott Oliver's 35MM (Galapagos Art Space, iTunes) and for his skill and charm at old-school song and dance in projects like Hello Dolly (The MUNY), Johnson now premieres his personal, eclectic solo show at Feinstein's/54 Below.

Early exposure to a variety of musical genres kept Johnson afloat as a kid in Texas. Amidst bullying and hard times at home, music and theatre was an escape and an oasis, a place to be understood and to actually share all that music in his head.

Join Johnson and Broadway friends and favorites for an unbelievably personal evening celebrating all that theatre and music can be, from one Broadway actor who knows that theatre and music saved his life.

Joining Johnson onstage is an all-star eight-piece band that will feature Rodney Bush on piano, Josh Plotner on reeds, Mark Van Ziegler on bass, Trey Ware on the drums, Allison Seidner on cello, Kiku Enumoto on violin, and Micah Burgess on guitar, with an additional musician to be announced. Bush also serves as Musical Director. Amanda Williams Ware and Allison Robinson will serve as back-up singers.
