Meet the Composers of MURDEROUS MUSICAL MONDAYS- Spotlight on Sam Carner & Derek Gregor

The cast and creative team of the hit Off-Broadway musical Murder for Two are teaming up with some of New York's brightest up and coming composers and BroadwayWorld.com every Monday night for their spring concert series, Murderous Musical Mondays. Composers Sam Carner & Derek Gregor continue the series on Monday, June 2, 2014, immediately following the 7pm performance of Murder for Two at New World Stages (Stage 5 - 340 West 50th Street).

Performance Network Theatre Suspends Operations

The Board of Directors of Performance Network Theatre has determined that the theatre is not currently financially viable and suspends all operations, effective immediately. The Board wants to thank the community, actors, directors, designers, donors, and subscribers for their long-standing support of the theatre.

Jeffrey Bean, Sharon Lockwood and More Star in Alley Theatre's 'VANYA AND SONIA', Beg. Tonight

Tony Award-winning comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike will feature Resident Actor Jeffrey Bean as Vanya, Sharon Lockwood returning to the Alley as Sonia, Alley Artist Josie de Guzman returning as Masha, and Resident Actor Jay Sullivan as Spike. Rounding out the cast and making their Alley debuts are Rachael Holmes as Cassandra and Sarah Nealis as Nina. Jonathan Moscone, Artistic Director of California Shakespeare Theater, helms the production and returns after having directed the Alley's 2011 production of Amadeus.

Way Off Broadway's Children's Theatre Presents Disney's PETER PAN JR., Now thru 7/27

Coeurage Theatre Company's THE YELLOW BOAT Opens Tonight

Coeurage Theatre Company, LA's 'Pay What You Want' Company, has announced the first production of its 2014 season, The Yellow Boat by David Saar. Directed by Joseph V. Calarco, the opening is set for tonight, April 19 at 8pm. The Yellow Boat will play through May 25 at GTC Burbank.

Production Company to Present THE BLUE MOON DANCING Reading, 4/27-28

The Production Company's Managing Director of the 2014 Reading Series, Dean Farell Bruggeman, and Artistic Directors August Viverito and T L Kolman proudly announce the third selection for the company's new-play-reading series with Ed Graczyk's beautiful The Blue Moon Dancing, directed by David Youse. The reading takes place at our new studio space, dubbed The Production Company Workspace, at 14731 Oxnard St., Van Nuys, CA 91411, on Sunday, April 27 @ 7 pm, and Monday, April 28 @ 8 PM. Admission is complimentary.

Theatre School at DePaul University Presents JACKIE & ME, Now thru 5/10

The Theatre School at DePaul University will present Jackie & Me, by Steven Dietz, adapted from the novel by Dan Gutman, and directed by John Jenkins, as the final production of the 2013-2014 Chicago Playworks for Families and Young Audiences season. This production opens today, April 8, and runs through Saturday, May 10, 2014, at DePaul's historic Merle Reskin Theatre. Performances are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 AM, and Saturdays at 2 PM. Friday performances will be held on May 2 and 9 (10 AM). A special Sunday performance (2 PM) will be held on May 4. There will be no Saturday performance on May 3.

Jeffrey Bean, Melissa Pritchett and More Set for Alley Theatre's COMMUNICATING DOORS, Beg. Tonight

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for Alan Ayckbourn's science fiction comedy Communicating Doors. Eleven plays penned by Alan Ayckbourn have been produced by the Alley, including the American premiere of Henceforward, directed by Ayckbourn, in 1987 and House & Garden in 2002. Alan Ayckbourn has been inducted into the American Theatre's Hall of Fame, received the 2010 Critics' Circle Award for Services to the Arts, became the first British playwright to receive both Olivier and Tony Special Lifetime Achievement Awards and was knighted in 1997 for services to the theatre.
