On April 28, Columbia Nashville will release the Old Crow Medicine Show special recording of 50 Years of Blonde on Blonde. To celebrate the album release Old Crow will be touring across the U.S. and performing Blonde on Blonde in it's entirety. The tour includes a show on Friday, May 12 at the brand-new Eccles Theater in downtown Salt Lake City.
Tito Beveridge, owner and founder of Tito's Vodka, and all around Renaissance man, (from geophysicist to microdistilling pioneer,) wrote a play that was first produced in Austin, TX in September of 2015. That play then became a film directed by filmmaker Ty Roberts made with a small budget and stellar director and crew in Austin. The film is now picking up steam as it recently played at the Sonoma Film Festival with Tito in attendance (who threw one hell of a film party with yes, lots of vodka.) SXSW saw a lot of opportunities for new films and documentaries to be premiered. One in particular was a documentary called MAY IT LAST: A PORTRAIT OF THE AVETT BROTHERS that explored the Avett Brothers' journey into making their latest album that was recently released called “True Sadness.” In creating this documentary, directors Judd Apatow and Michael Bonfiglio wanted to share all aspects of the lives' of the Avett Brothers and their band.
