There are performers out there who say they love the rehearsal period more than they do the performances. I, on the other hand, am the complete opposite.

First I must share my personal thoughts on the loss of the amazing talent that was Adam Michael Perkes who passed away in the middle of this show's run.
It's always a better place when the Paul Taylor Dance Company comes to New York-a bona fide sign of excellence in the dance world. Not that the program was perfect; I had some reservations about two of the pieces, but overall I couldn't ask for a better place to spend a cold March evening.
As a fan of the true story and the movie, I wondered how they would tackle the complicated plot and several subplots that filled this boy's complex life
Anyone who's been reading my column knows that my daughter HATES princesses. I don't blame her. The Disney merchandising machine has taken over most kids' lives to the point where it's often impossible to procure a toddler spoon or potty seat that doesn't have an Arielle or Sleeping Beauty theme. Either that or Dora. And I don't want to see either one of those chicks on my kid's potty seat. No offense.

Shortly before his performance the rap master took time to meet and take photos with admiring fans from a nearby table.
Despite being wholly busy and working on perfecting DON GIOVANNI with the Houston Grand Opera creative teams and cast, I had the pleasure of being able to spend a delightful 30 minutes with the talented and intelligent Rachel Willis-Sørensen. We discussed her career, including her impressive contest wins, preparing Donna Anna in DON GIOVANI for Houston audiences, performing in Houston, and the best aspects of being an opera performer.
Greg Banks has created many highly-acclaimed adaptations for Children's Theatre Company (CTC) audiences, including Robin Hood, Huck Finn, and Romeo and Juliet. Banks returns to CTC to reimagine Carlo Collodi's classic Italian folk tale Pinocchio in what has potential to be the most invigorating theatrical event of the season. Banks' Pinocchio will feature four of the Twin Cities' most celebrated actors playing multiple roles. CTC's production of Pinocchio, like Collodi's story, will explore the magical moments when make-believe becomes real.
