Apollo Theater Studio Presents SHOOT FASTER, DEAR BROTHER, I'M DYING! Thru 7/31

Joe Anderson and Demian Krentz, a comedic duo of award-winning filmmakers, present the world premiere of their new original play, SHOOT FASTER, DEAR BROTHER, I'M DYING! (A Civil War Comedy), at the Apollo Theater Studio (2540 N Lincoln Ave, 2 blocks north of Fullerton) until July 31st. Showtimes are Thursdays through Saturdays at 8PM. Four Choreographers Share a Week at The Joyce Theater - 8/9-14

Camille A. Brown and Andrea Miller and Kate Weare and Monica Bill Barnes present two programs from August 9-14, 2010 at The Joyce Theater. 175 Eighth Avenue, NYC. Ms. Brown's new ensemble and Ms. Miller's company Gallim Dance share the first program. The second program features the Kate Weare Company and Monica Bill Barnes & Company. On Saturday, August 14 at 2pm, all four choreographers will present a family-friendly program featuring excerpts of works in the regular programs. MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET Extends To January 2011 At The Apollo Theater

Beginning Friday, June 18, a new block of tickets will be on sale for performances through January 2, 2011, of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the Tony-nominated musical inspired by the famed 1956 recording session that brought together legendary rock ‘n' roll icons Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley. WICKED Grosses £100 Million At UK Box Offices

WICKED, London's 'hugely popular musical' (The Times) that tells the untold story of the Witches of Oz, has reached a major new Box Office milestone with an incredible gross to date of £100 million at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. The production has played over 1500 performances since its West End premiere in September 2006.

Tony Awards Searches for New Venue in 2011

annie_comic_20010101 According to the New York Times, the 65th Annual Tony Awards will not be in Radio City Music Hall, due to a booking contract that expires in June 2011. The ceremony has been held at Radio City since 1997 (with the exception of 1999).

27 SECONDS Apollo 1 Exhibit Opens at Intrepid- June 12

'27 Seconds,' a new exhibition that tells the story of the 1967 Apollo 1 tragedy when, during routine tests, a fire took the lives of astronauts Virgil 'Gus' Grissom, Edward White and Roger Chaffee, will open at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, located at Pier 86 (46th Street and 12th Avenue) in Manhattan, on Saturday, June 12th.
