THEATER OF WAR Presented At American Repertory Theater, Closes 3/7

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) is pleased to partner with Theater of War Productions, a social impact company that presents readings of ancient Greek plays to military communities as a catalyst for town hall discussions, to present Theater of War. The production will end on March 7.

Magic Theatre Presents Virgin Play Reading Series, 3/7

The Friend Center for the Arts at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF) and the Magic Theatre present The Virgin Play Reading Series on four Mondays in March. These readings of scripts-in-progress by the playwrights themselves, offer audiences the chance to hear the plays before they arrive on the stage and see the new play development process up close. After each reading, the playwright and director will have a conversation with the audience members.

Playwright James McLure Dies at 59

According to published reports, playwright James McLure passed away on February 17 at the age of 59. McLure lost a battle to cancer. He is survived by his sister Jenny.

Artistic Director Marc Masterson to Depart Actor's Theatre of Louisville

Marc Masterson today announced he will step down as Artistic Director after 11 seasons at the helm of the Tony-Award-Winning theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville. Masterson will depart in fall 2011 to take up the role of Artistic Director at South Coast Repertory, Costa Mesa, California.

Aurora Theatre Presents Sirens
