For audiences age four and up, Frog and Peach Theatre Company, 'a brave company that is a jewel of Off-Broadway' (Ronald Gross, NY Theatre Buying Guide), will present a fairy tale series, 'Tinkerbell Theatre,' adapting 'Cinderella' (from the Brothers Grimm) and 'The Tinderbox' (from Hans Christian Anderson) into Rocky-and-Bullwinkle style plays featuring sing-along songs and big, soft puppets. The plays, written and directed by Lynnea Benson, will be followed by puppet-making workshops to which all kids attending will be invited. The two plays will be presented in repertory April 27 to May 19 at West End Theater, 263 West 86th Street.
Ellen Burstyn, acclaimed film, television, and stage actress, will be a special guest of the 29th Helen Hayes Awards tonight, April 8 to help accept the this year's Helen Hayes Tribute, presented to Actors' Equity Association. Ms. Burstyn, a previous President of Actors' Equity, will be joined by current President Nicholas Wyman in receiving the honor on the organization's behalf.

Bravo Media unveiled its largest slate of original programming-to-date with 17 new and 18 returning unscripted series, marking a 15 percent increase over last year, and announced three new scripted projects in development. Additionally, Bravo ranks #9 in the highly desired A18-49 demo and in A25-54, up 5 percent and 7 percent respectively, and up 8 percent in total viewers year-to-date, according to Nielsen.

Macha Theatre/Films presents the world premiere of 'Marilyn-My Secret' written by Willard Manus and Odalys Nanin, directed by Odalys Nanin. This dramedy with music, chronicles the life of Norma Jean from unwanted orphan, to bit player, to sex goddess including the untold story of Marilyn's affairs with both female and male lovers - - from her acting coach to the president of the United States. The play runs tonight, March 30 - April 21, at the Macha Theatre in WeHo.

Hershey Area Playhouse will present the Pulitzer Prize winning play Proof in April. Proof is the story of a mathematician whose genius and madness wreaks havoc on his daughters and a former student. When the former student finds a revolutionary mathematical proof among the mathematician's papers, the characters become steeped in conflict as they struggle to determine who wrote the proof.
The Open Fist Theatre Company presents THE GOOD THIEF, written by Conor McPherson and directed by Scott Paulin (Foote Notes, St. Nicholas) and starring Michael McGee. Mr. Paulin and Mr. McGee's previous collaboration on the McPherson play St. Nicholas was a critically-acclaimed endeavor at the Stephanie Feury Theatre. THE GOOD THIEF will open tonight, March 24 at 7pm and runs through Monday, April 29 at the Open Fist Theatre, 6209 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood.
