BBC AMERICA today announced Anna Chancellor, James Fleet, Ingrid Oliver, Ruth Madeley, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, and Bianca Simone Mannie have joined the cast of the network's disruptive original series, The Watch, premiering in 2020. Co-produced by BBC Studios and Narrativia, The Watch is inspired by Sir Terry Pratchett's bestselling “Discworld” novels.

Shakespeare's Globe has announced the 201920 Sam Wanamaker Playhouse Season. Centred around She Wolves and Shrews, the season is a celebration and interrogation of women, power, and the role of the feminine in shaping our past, present and future. The candlelit Sam Wanamaker Playhouse will play host to a world-premiere of Ella Hickson's new play Swive [Elizabeth], Shakespeare's Henry VI, Richard III, and The Taming of the Shrew, and Middleton's Women Beware Women. Sandi and Jenifer Toksvig have written a new family show dubbed, Christmas at the (Snow) Globe, and a series of candlelit ghost tales will include a new story from Jeanette Winterson. Other events running throughout the season include half-term storytelling festival, Half Term Tales at the Globe, with the new Children's Laureate Cressida Cowell, and a double bill of Virginia Woolf's A Room of One's Own and Three Guineas, marking the centenary year since the removal of the sex disqualification act. The Globe's flagship project for secondary and post-16 students, Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank, reaches its 14th year with Macbeth.

While at New York Comic Con promoting Prime Video's 'Good Omens,' Jon Hamm, David Tennant, and Michael Sheen sit down with Vulture. During the interview, Sheen and Tennant, who've recently played Hamlet on the stage, are tasked to have a Hamlet 'act-off' with Hamm as Ophelia. 

Amazon Studios today announced it has signed an overall television deal with visionary and award-winning writer Neil Gaiman. The creator of the highly anticipated Amazon Original series Good Omens and the Hugo Award-winning book American Gods, Gaiman will exclusively work with Amazon Studios on the creation of television series which will premiere globally on Amazon Prime Video in over 200 countries and territories.

BBC Studios has announced ahead of Mipcom 2018, that Richard Gere (Chicago, Pretty Woman), Billy Howle (Witness for the Prosecution, On Chesil Beach) and showrunner Tom Rob Smith (Child 44, London Spy, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story), will head to Mipcom in Cannes to launch MotherFatherSon at a special event on Monday 15th October.

Elkhart Civic Theatre presented a show that had the most fully fleshed out characters I've seen in a long time. Combine that with stellar acting from Jenny DiDario, Cameron Ponce, Stacey Nickel, and the trio of nut jobs that peopled the stage around them and you have a show that is a shame to have missed.
