2012 is just around the corner, and there are a plethora of shows in store for this new Broadway season. From brand new musicals to vintage plays and West End transfers to American classics, 2012's upcoming shows should surely lead to a stellar awards season this spring. In celebration of its 20th Season, Shattered Globe Theatre Company will be presenting a staged reading of Judgment at Nuremberg at The Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center and full productions of Orpheus Descending and Her Naked Skin at Stage 773 in Chicago.

Roundabout Theatre Company has just announced a new Off-Broadway production of Simon Gray's comedy-drama The Common Pursuit directed by Moises Kaufman. The Common Pursuit will begin performances May 4, 2012 and officially open on May 24, 2012 at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre / Laura Pels Theatre (111 West 46th Street). This is a limited engagement through July 29, 2012.

Accidentally Like a Martyr, a new play by Grant James Varjas about a group of gay men coming to grips with life and aging in the 21st century, will be given its world-premiere production Off-Broadway with preview performances beginning Dec. 15 prior to an official press opening Dec. 19 at Paradise Factory (64 E. 4 St.) in Manhattan.
