Houghton Mifflin Harcourt to Publish Picture Book of John Lennon's IMAGINE

BOSTON, Nov. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has acquired Imagine, a picture book featuring the lyrics of John Lennon's iconic song and illustrated by the award-winning artist Jean Jullien. The book follows a young pigeon on a journey to spread a message of peace and tolerance and will be published in partnership with Amnesty International, the human rights organization, which has more than eight million supporters worldwide. Amnesty will receive a portion of the proceeds from every copy of the book sold.

A staged concert reading of Temple is happening at the Wharton Center on Michigan State University's campus this weekend and there is going be a very special sensory-friendly performance included. '1 in 68 people are born on the spectrum, which is astounding,' said Diane Wilcox, Director of Marketing and Communications. 'It's a huge population of people who often don't feel welcome in our environment of live theatre and we are looking to change that. Our sensory-friendly performance is specially geared toward audiences who are on the spectrum and others who have sensory sensitivities and needs.'

The Wallis & The Miracle Project Partnering for New Education Programs

The Miracle Project, a performing arts nonprofit for all abilities and disabilities, is partnering with the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts to present two education programs, The Miracle Project Live! and The Intimidation Game. The collaboration, which launched on Jan. 11, offers fully inclusive performing arts workshops that culminate in public performances at The Wallis in May 2016.
