It was announced that soap star Kathleen Widdoes joins the previously announced cast of the Epic Theatre Ensemble (Zak Berkman, Melissa Friedman, Ron Russell, Executive Directors) two-night benefit event: As The Epic Turns, to support its esteemed after-school 'Shakespeare Bridge Project' programs.

Following an extremely successful off Broadway run and the sale of the film rights to New Line Cinema, ROCK OF AGES opened on Broadway, tonight, Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W. 47th Street). On Wednesday, March 25, Cherry Lane opened its newest theatre The Cherry Pit on Bank Street, with the Off-Broadway premiere of Deirdre O'Connor's play JAILBAIT -- about two fifteen-year-old girls who spend a night at a Boston club posing as college students.

Stars of the stage and screen will perform at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey highly celebrated annual fundraiser gala on March 28 at the Hilton Short Hills in Short Hills. This annual Shakespeare Theatre event kicks off each season and is the Theatre's largest fundraiser of the year.

On Monday April 13th, The 24 Hour Company will team with the Exchange to produce The 24 Hour Musicals.
