New York Live Arts will present the second annual Lang Dance Fall Performance at New York Live Arts, this weekend, December 13 & 14 at 7:30pm.

Rock & Soul sensation Gary Clark Jr. was nominated for two 2013 Grammy Awards on Friday night, December 6th: 'Best Rock Song' for 'Ain't Messin' Round' and 'Best Traditional R&B Performance' for 'Please Come Home.' Both tracks appear on Clark's debut album for Warner Bros. Records, Blak And Blu. These are the Austin native's first-ever Grammy Award nominations and also the first time in Grammy history that a single artist has been nominated in both categories simultaneously. Prestigious nominations such as these further underscore the fact that the music of Gary Clark Jr. speaks to people who simply love music, regardless of genre, classification or categorization. From the onset, Clark's intent was to craft an album that could be gracefully embraced by music fans looking for something that sounded both familiar and fresh at once.

In less than a month, hundreds of artists from around the world have joined Art Set Free, a global showcase from Arts Brookfield that aims to create the world's largest collection of public art. Ten of the most innovative artists have been chosen for the first Best of Art Set Free digital art installation, which debuts this week on the monumental video screen at Brookfield Place Winter Garden, formerly the World Financial Center, in Lower Manhattan.

The extraordinary four decade-plus recording career of seminal Texas blues-rocking guitar legend Johnny Winter, who celebrates his 70 th birthday on February 23, 2014, will be commemorated with the release of True To The Blues: The Johnny Winter Story.

The Little Orchestra Society presents Music Under the Big Top, an evening of entertainment and musical acrobatics for audiences of all ages at Damrosch Park, Lincoln Center on December 10, 2013. This first of its kind program for The Little Orchestra Society, conducted and co-hosted by new Music Director James Judd, will feature the Orchestra performing an eclectic array of classic and contemporary pieces in the ring of the Big Apple Circus joined by the talented violinist and composer Daniel Roumain. The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge and directed by Phyllida Lloyd, composed by Mel Mercier, with lighting design by Jean Kalman and Mike Gunning, set design by Chloe Obolensky and choreography by Kim Brandstrup, will play the BAM Harvey Theater (651 Fulton St), tonight, December 10 - 22, 2013 as part of the Next Wave Festival.

New York Live Arts will present Ellen Robbins' Dances by Very Young Choreographers in the New York Live Arts Theater today, December 7 at 2:00pm and December 8 and 1:00pm and 4:00pm. The evening will feature a mélange of witty and intriguing original dances, created and performed by Robbins' students ages 8 - 18.

Jonathan Groff will make his Ravinia debut tonight, December 7th of this year, in Bennett Gordon Hall. For this performance, Jonathan Groff will be accompanied by Mary-Mitchell Campbell on the piano.

Atlantic Theater Company's ATC Uncovered is celebrating the 7th anniversary of SPRING AWAKENING on Broadway. The musical began at the Atlantic before transferring to Broadway, and stars Lea Michele, Jonathan Groff, John Gallagher, Jr., Lauren Pritchard, Lilli Cooper, Remy Zaken and more gathered at the theater on December 2nd to talk about thriving in an intimate space, performing a 'formative' project at such an important part of their lives, and what they want to collaborate on next.
