Music Mountain, America's longest running summer chamber music festival, continues its 89th season with another weekend of extraordinary music. The all-female Cassatt String Quartet, with guest artist Paul Katz, cello offer a program featuring Borodin; Shostakovich; and Schubert on Sunday, August 26 (3pm). The weekend music begins with first time guests Amina Figarova Quintet playing her original jazz compositions on Saturday evening, August 25 (6:30pm). Concerts are scheduled through September 23.

Artistic Director Jacqulyn Buglisi and Buglisi Dance Theatre are honored to return to Lincoln Center for a 8th annual presentation of the transcendent  '9/11 Table of Silence Project,' a public performance tribute to 9/11 and prayer for peace and healing, conceived and choreographed by Jacqulyn Buglisi. 

Meredith Roberts, a well-regarded leader in animation for film and television, has been named to the newly created role of senior vice president, Animation Strategy, Disney Channels. She will be responsible for leading a unified vision for the animation content produced by Disney Television Animation and other studios for Disney Junior, Disney Channel, Disney XD and related platforms. Roberts will report to Nancy Kanter, executive vice president, Content and Creative Strategy, Disney Channels Worldwide, and general manager, Disney Junior Worldwide.

Philadelphia native S.A. Williams, author of the critically acclaimed World War II epic 'Anna's Secret Legacy,' recently unveiled the suspenseful thriller's sequel in her new novel 'Mackenzie's Secret.' Williams' focus now is on Hollywood and hopes to see both novels adapted for film and television audiences worldwide.

The Cortland Repertory Theatre Performing Interns and Youth Programs proudly present performances of "Dorothy Meets Alice, Or The Wizard Of Wonderland", a fun and funny "mash-up" tale of two classic children's stories. Written by Joseph Robinette, this live performance play will have performances on Saturday July 14 and Thursday July 19 at 10:00 am. The performance on Friday July 20 is sold out.  General Admission tickets are $7.00 per person and may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or at the CRT Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland. Word for Word celebrates this 25th season with a rare production "Anniversary! Stories by Tobias Wolff and George Saunders" featuring Wolff's "Deep Kiss" and Saunders' "Victory Lap," works by two of the companies favorite authors, directed by Joel Mullennix and Delia MacDougall. "Anniversary! Stories by Tobias Wolff and George Saunders" opens with a press night Saturday August 11, 8pm (Preview Aug 8, 9 & 10) running through September 2 at Z Space Main Stage in San Francisco's Mission/SOMA district. Tobias Wolff and George Saunders are brilliant performers in the short story form, and the company feels lucky to be staging their stories for its 25th Anniversary. Over the past quarter century, Word for Word has had the pleasure and the honor to work with some of the best writers of all time.
