Two distinct programs mark the 2019 return of the Russian National Ballet to Folsom. On Wednesday, the company of 50 exquisite dancers will twice perform Cinderella, a full-length ballet in two acts, with music by Prokofiev. On Thursday, the company performs a Gala Program, with excerpts from the world's greatest ballets and music by Tchaikovsky, Saint-Saens, Prokofiev, and more.

After last season's sold-out shows, Impulse is ready to take the stage again to create fast-paced comedic scenes and games-all based on audience suggestions!  No scripts, no costumes, and no pre-planned scenes. Get ready for quick wits and lots of laughter.

London's newest West End Cabaret venue, The Space @ Studio 88, welcomes Giovanni Spano to sing to an intimate audience of devoted fans, one of whom has seen him at least 600 times. The compact venue and his family's presence around the front table, chipping in whenever they could, made it feel like Gio giving a concert in the family living room and we were privileged to be party to it. He was close enough to sit on the audience's laps and, at one point, he actually did.

Colt Coeur and WP Theater announce the programming for the annual Parity Plays Festival reading series, which celebrates the work of female and trans playwrights and directors. The festival will consist of four plays by Kate Cortesi, Obehi Janice, Lily Padilla, and WP Lab alum Sylvia Khoury. Every spring, Teatro Vista, Chicago's professional Latinx theater company, introduces Chicago-area high school students to classic and contemporary plays framed in a Latinx filter.

Director of Nuffield Southampton Theatres, Sam Hodges today announces the full cast for his production of Howard Brenton's The Shadow Factory which returns to celebrate NST City's first anniversary after opening the space with a sell-out run last year. The cast includes Denise Black (Lady Cooper/Ma Dimmock), Bethan Cullinane (Jackie Dimmock), Joe Tracini (Len Gooch) and Michael Fenton Stevens (Lord Beaverbrook) joining returning cast members David Birrell (Fred Dimmock/Hugh Downing), Catherine Cusack (Lil Dimmock/Sylvia Meinster) and Shala Nyx (Polly Stride). The production opens on 1 February, with previews from 30 January, and runs until 2 March.

Shakespeare's Globe is delighted to announce the Summer Season 2019. Celebrating and interrogating our 'sceptred isle' through Shakespeare's history plays, a year-long journey begins with Richard II, opening 22 February in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, continuing into the Globe Theatre this summer with Henry IV Parts 1 and 2, and Henry V. The season also includes A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Ben Jonson's Bartholomew Fair, and the return of 2018's As You Like It. Robin Hood tales will form the core of the Read Not Dead series this year, and festivals throughout the summer include Women & Power and Poland is Hamlet. This year's Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank production will be Romeo and Juliet, opening on 28 February, with 20,000 free tickets available to state secondary schools. The Shakespeare's Globe Touring Ensemble will once again present a trio of plays for the audience to choose from: The Comedy of Errors, Pericles, and Twelfth Night.

Krotoa, Eva van de Kaap is a music theatre production presented by Artscape in association with the Dutch theatre collective, the Volksoperahuis, in this, the . The production was first performed to acclaim in The Netherlands in October 2018. February marks Black History Month in many countries and 2019 is the UN's International Year of Indigenous Languages which makes this production all the more significant and hugely relevant in South Africa today.
