American Dance Machine for the 21st Century (ADM21) returns to New York City's Joyce Theater (175 Eighth Avenue), playing through Sunday, January 3rd. Nikki Feirt Atkins is Founder and Producing Artistic Director of ADM21. Directed by Tony Award winner Wayne Cilento (Wicked, Sweet Charity revival, Aida, The Who's Tommy), this year's program includes theatre dances from 'Broadway and Beyond' with live music provided by musical director Eugene Gwozdz. This return to The Joyce follows last year's sold out performances and promises once again, to rekindle old memories for theater dance enthusiasts and spark the imagination of audiences not yet familiar with these masterpieces. On December 28th, here in NYC at Symphony Space, I am very excited to be one of the guest stars (along with the great Melba Moore and some of the best singers and dancers in this town!) in a very special tribute/benefit to LUIGI (1925-2015), the man who revolutionized jazz dance in America. Years ago, when I was practically a kid, studying to move to New York City and break into the biz, I had a dance scholarship in the Luigi technique. And when I came to New York I studied with him. He changed my life, but then again, he seems to have changed everyone's life that was lucky enough to know him.

New York City Ballet's Georgina Pazcoguin will join American Dance Machine for the 21st Century at a special guest artist during their return to the Joyce Theater (175 8th Avenue), December 21, 2015 - January 3. 2016. Known for her wide range of dramatic and dynamic roles as a soloist at NYCB, including Anita in Jerome Robbins' West Side Story Suite, Pazcoguin will perform in all of the evening shows, in which she will be featured in the Chita Rivera role in Jack Cole's 'Beale Street Blues,' Victoria's solo from Cats, and Jerome Robbins' 'Mr. Monotony.'

Japan can't get enough of PRINCE OF BROADWAY (see video below), and that's too bad, because there are just five performances left at Osaka's Umeda Arts Theatre. On opening night, after a solid ten minutes of applause after the final curtain, Prince and the rest of the creative team went out one more time. Despite the show's success overseas, an official announcement has not yet been made regrading a run on Broadway... but that hasn't kept us from wondering. So what's next for PRINCE? We're keeping our appendages crossed for an announcement soon and we'll keep you posted with updates!

With artful direction and choreography from Susan Stroman, Lyric Opera's mounting of Franz Lehar's well-known 1905 operetta THE MERRY WIDOW sweeps audiences into a joyful waltz, complete with exquisite talent and a production with opulence to spare. This production debuted at the Metropolitan Opera in the fall of 2014 with commanding opera diva Renee Fleming at the helm as the titular widow Hanna Glawari. Fleming truly shines in this production, with the equally talented Thomas Hampson at her side as Count Danilo Danilovich.
