The Jewish Plays Project (David Winitsky, Artistic Director) is thrilled to announce the line-up for the 6th Annual OPEN: Festival of New Jewish Theater.

Here's a follow-up to BAGHDADDY ensemble member Ethan Slater, who will soon star in The SpongeBob Musical on Broadway, singing in the kitchen with his co-stars. Adapted by Matt Opatrny and directed/choreographed by Jessica Burr, the eleven-member troupe Blessed Unrest recently opened A Christmas Carol at the New Ohio Theatre. This "theatre for the adventurous" comprised of a diverse ensemble that brings new and bold productions to NY audiences, brings a unique and surprising experience to those expecting a traditional retelling of Dickens' novella. So saying, this is a tasteful yet eclectic and unique experience indeed; Opatrny and Burr prove that they understood the true essence of the original story while also showing that they clearly had a wonderful time bringing their creative vision to life.

 La MaMa is pleased to announce the world premiere of The Elephant in Every Room I Enter, a strikingly intimate solo work created by Gardiner Comfort and Kel Haney, in which Mr. Comfort shares the challenges of a working actor living with Tourette Syndrome. Directed by Ms. Haney, performances are set to begin on Today, October 15th at 7:30pm at La MaMa - First Floor Theatre (74a East 4th Street - between Bowery and 2nd Avenue). Performances will continue through Saturday, October 31.

Merrill and directed by Wojtunik, as his last production as Artistic Director.
