What started out as a simple schoolgirl crush has now grown into a serious passion of the highest order for the multi-award winning Rosemary Loar. For only four performances, she brings her new show Sting, Stang, Stung: Swingin' The Music of Sting! to the Metropolitan Room at Gotham on four dates in January and February where she will sing the songs of pop legend Sting.

Trumpet sensation Chris Botti, known for effortlessly crossing boundaries between pop and classical, jazz and rock, will bring his chart-topping talents to the Orange County Performing Arts Center for a special one-night-only concert Sunday, January 8, 2011 in Segerstrom Hall. A gifted instrumentalist, talented composer, charismatic performer and former trumpeter for Sting, Botti has risen to new heights of popularity with his critically acclaimed CDs, Live in Boston, December and Italia. Botti's performance is being offered as a Bonus Event in the Center's 2010-11 Jazz Series.

Carnegie Hall launches its 120th anniversary year celebration on Tuesday, April 12 at 7:00 p.m. with a one-night-only gala event hosted by renowned singer/songwriter James Taylor in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage. This festive evening pays tribute to Carnegie Hall's illustrious history, highlighting many of the extraordinary musical and cultural events that have taken place on the Hall's legendary stages over the past twelve decades. Featured special guests include: Barbara Cook, Steve Martin, Bette Midler, Sting, and members of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus among others. This concert is one of four Carnegie Hall Perspectives performances presented by Taylor this spring.

2011 marks the 13th year that guitar virtuoso Andre Feriante will host his annual Valentine's Day Concert at Benaroya Hall's Nordstrom Recital Hall. This award-winning, neo-flamenco/classical guitar virtuoso performs each year for hundreds of fans who savor the soulful and seductive harmonies his music embodies. It's all about romance but his melded styles and multi-guitar format keep the evening lively and upbeat. Although soft and easy is definitely the theme, things will probably get a little spicy when Andre introduces his two newest loves to the audience: the mandolin and the ukulele. Feriante will perform a musical mix of fiery flamenco, classical guitar standards and spoken poetry set to his original compositions in the style of Neruda and Rumi; followed by a series of romantic favorites performed in the classical and jazz styles and a special tribute to his legendary mentor, Andres Segovia. For the last 20-plus years Feriante has used Seattle as a base for his international career. A poet as well as composer, his artistic path has crossed with numerous Seattle-based musicians, and on special occasions they perform together. For the 2011 Valentine's Day Concert that mix includes: tenor Steve Thoreson, pianist Overton Berry, guitarist Erich Fridrich, and jazz vocalist Annie O'Neill. America's foremost chamber orchestra, Orchestra of St. Luke's, will begin a new chapter in its 36-year history when it opens The DiMenna Center for Classical Music on March 8, 2011.

Chris Botti returns to the Blue Note for his annual three-week residence from December 13 to January 2, including Christmas and New Year's Eve. This year, Botti is bringing a new band that features drummer Billy Kilson, guitarist Mark Whitfield, pianist Billy Childs, keyboardist Andy Ezrin, bassist Carlos Henriquez, vocalist Lisa Fischer, and violinists Caroline Campbell and Chee-Yun. Botti's accessible style, charm, and impressive backing band have kept him at the top of the contemporary jazz world for years. With a warm, effortless tone on the trumpet, Botti seamlessly weaves songs from the pop, jazz, classical and contemporary genres into each set. His Blue Note runs have been star-studded affairs over the last few years, boasting guest artists like John Mayer and Sting, and this year's series will be no different. As an artist who plays mostly concert halls all over the world, playing for three weeks at such an intimate club is a treat for Botti, who calls the Blue Note his favorite stop of the year.
