Fifty years after her legendary Carnegie Hall debut, The New York Pops remembers Hollywood icon Judy Garland with a song-for-song re-creation of the 1961 performance that is referred to by so many as "the greatest night in show business history".

On October 14, 2011, The New York Pops orchestra - famous for presenting popular music with a symphony orchestra of the highest quality - will launch its 29th season; a Carnegie Hall series celebrating the stylistic diversity of some of popular music's greatest icons.

It's Christmas at Carnegie Hall, and this year there are three very special performances being conducted by Steven Reineke with the New York Pops. Two holiday concerts featuring Brian Stokes Mitchell and a special family feature of How The Grinch Stole Christmas all take place this weekend to help NYC usher in the holiday spirit! BWW spoke with Steven Reineke about the concerts, the holidays and the spirit of Christmas.

2010 marked the year the legendary American Composer Stephen Sondheim had his 80th Birthday, and there were many celebrations in his honour. The last one was a celebration at Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops under the direction of Steven Reineke. Kate Baldwin, Christiane Noll, Aaron Lazar and Alex Gemignani came out to sing the music and honour the man, and BWW featured interviews with each of them before the show. Things are winding down but there is still one ultimate celebration in store this Friday, November 19th as Steven Reineke and the New York POPS are joined by Broadway talents Kate Baldwin, Christiane Noll, Aaron Lazar and Alex Gemignani at Carnegie Hall to celebrate Mr. Sondheim's amazing body of work and distinguished career.

On Friday, November 19 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage, Broadway stars Kate Baldwin, Aaron Lazar, and Christiane Noll join The New York Pops, under the direction of Steven Reineke to celebrate the 80th birthday of legendary Broadway composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim. Sondheim-whose actual birthday was on March 22-is widely acknowledged as the most innovative and influential composer and lyricist in modern Broadway history. The concert will feature performances of some of the most beloved songs and soliloquies from Sondheim's extensive career. Vocal ensemble Essential Voices USA-led by Judith Clurman-also joins The New York Pops for this special performance.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed 'Best of New York' by New York Magazine, and 'an invaluable New York institution' by The New York Post, continues its Fall 2010 season with the debut engagement of Broadway star and three-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara last night, October 19. In her new show, which runs through October 30, Ms. O'Hara takes a journey beyond the ingénue by mixing songs by newer songwriters like Tom Kitt and Ricky Ian Gordon with classics by Frank Loesser ('Somebody, Somewhere') Irving Berlin ('Always'). All performances, which feature a quartet led by Music Director Dan Lipton, will be at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).
