NSO Pops Opens 2011-12 Season With Aaron Lazar, Rebecca Luker, et al. in 'Some Enchanted Evening'

Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke begins his first NSO Pops subscription season with Some Enchanted Evening: The Music of Rodgers and Hammerstein. Performances take place October 13 at 7 p.m. and October 14 and 15 at 8 p.m. with vocalists Rebecca Luker, Aaron Lazar, and Rod Gilfry, with The Washington Chorus and the NSO.

The remarkable work of the legendary songwriting team of Rodgers and Hammerstein has given the world some of its most popular musicals, including The Sound of Music, Oklahoma!, South Pacific, and The King and I and the three performances celebrate their glorious legacy to the Great White Way.

In addition to the concerts previously announced, Steven Reineke will also conduct The Canadian Tenors in the holiday program "The Perfect Gift."
