Aaron Lazar's passion, originality and engaging demeanor have helped propel his career from the stage to screen, and to "The Tao of Broadway" which will play Le Poisson Rouge on Monday November 7th.

The show features musical direction from Andrew Resnick and will include songs by everyone from Samuel Barber to David Zippel to Stephen Sondheim.  Tickets are open to the public for $20 each at http://lepoissonrouge.com/events/view/2745.

Lazar is currently showcasing his comedic side as international reporter 'O'Brady Shaw' on IFC's hit comedy series Onion News Network (ONN). A tornado of truth decimating the mobile homes of deception, Onion News Network provides an essential 30-minute glimpse into the world's most powerful 24-hour news network. Executive produced by Will Graham and Julie Smith for The Onion, ONN airs Tuesdays at 10PM on IFC.

Lazar will also be seen on the big screen playing the role of Prosecutor David Wilentz in Clint Eastwood's new film J. Edgar. The film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Naomi Watts
will be release by Warner Bros. on November 9th.

His other film and television credits include: The Notorious Betty Page (HBO/Killer Films), White Collar (USA), Ugly Betty (ABC), and New Amsterdam (FOX).

On Broadway, Lazar has appeared in seven Broadway shows originating roles in A Tale of Two Cities, the world premiere of Impressionism starting Jeremy Irons and Joan Allen, the revival of Les Miserables (for which he received a Drama Desk Award nomination), and the first Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music starring opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury, Bernadette Peters, and Elaine Stritch. He is also known for playing the role of Fabrizio in the Tony Award winning production of The Light in the Piazza at Lincoln Center, a role he reprised live on PBS for a television audience of 3 million; the Broadway revival of Oklahoma!; The Phantom of the Opera; and the National Tour of The Scarlet Pimpernel.

Lazar's extensive concert work includes: the New York Pops under Steven Reineke celebrating the 80th Birthday of Stephen Sondheim at Carnegie Hall, the National Symphony Orchestra under Marvin Hamlisch, the role of Billy Bigelow in the concert of Carousel with the Boston Pops under Keith Lockhart, and the role of Lt. Cable in South Pacific at The Hollywood Bowl under Paul Gemignani starring Reba McEntire and Brian Stokes Mitchell. He has appeared internationally as Gabey in On The Town with The English National Opera, and as Adam in the concert of the musical Imagine This with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra in Israel. This past June Aaron debuted his new solo concert at Feinstein's at Loew's Regency Hotel in NYC. And this October 2011, Lazar will appear with The National Symphony Orchestra to open their season under new maestro Stephen Reineke at The Kennedy Center.

Lazar currently resides in New York City with his wife and son. They are expecting their second child this fall.
