The Broadway at Birdland concert series presented Ashley Brown in concert on Monday, November 19 at 7pm. The show - Ashley Brown: Call Me Irresponsible - featured many of Ms. Brown's favorite songs from Broadway and the American Songbook, including selections from her PBS Special, which received a Telly Award. Yaron Gershovsky (Manhattan Transfer) was Music Director, and her special guests were Gavin Lee (Mary Poppins), Brad Haak and Emily Jones Ryan. Check out photos from the concert below!

On March 8, 2013, one of Broadway's favorite leading men, Ryan Silverman, will appear with The New York Pops for Come Fly With Me: The Songs of Sammy Cahn. Mr. Silverman has previously appeared in The Phantom of the Opera (Raoul), Cry-Baby (Cry-Baby u/s), Music in the Air (Karl) at New York City Center's Encores!, and The Most Happy Fella (Al) at New York City Opera. Mr. Silverman replaces Seth MacFarlane, who is unavailable to perform due to a scheduling conflict. Mr. Silverman joins previously announced guest artist Megan Hilty, Broadway singer and star of the television show Smash.

On December 14 and 15, 2012 at 8:00pm, The New York Pops will present an evening full of holiday cheer at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage with Pink Martini: Joy to the World. On October 12, 2012, The New York Pops orchestra launched its 30th Season at Carnegie Hall with Some Enchanted Evening: The Music of Rodgers and Hammerstein. Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke - described by The New York Times as a "polished, welcoming host" who is "young and vigorous, with a playful attitude" - led the orchestra in a highly-anticipated opening with Broadway favorites by beloved duo Rodgers and Hammerstein. The performance featured guest artists Aaron Lazar, Kelli O'Hara and Paulo Szot, along with Judith Clurman's Essential Voices USA and New York Theatre Ballet. The program included classics from Oklahoma!, Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I and The Sound of Music at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage.

The Toronto Symphony's 2012-2013 Pops Season kicks off this week with Some Enchanted Evening, the first show of newly appointed Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke's new season. The evening pays tribute to Rodgers and Hammerstein, and joining Steven are Ashley Brown, Aaron Lazar and Jonathan Estabrooks. Originally from Canada, Jonathan took a few minutes to talk to BWW about his journey so far, and about why young people should come check this show out.

On October 5, 6 and 7, Broadway divas Nicole Parker and Alli Mauzey will sing with the Houston Symphony in a Pops performance featuring powerhouse songs from Wicked, Chicago, The Phantom of the Opera, Titanic and other popular songs from Broadway and Hollywood. Steven Reineke, Music Director of The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall series, will guest conduct the concerts. Having performed the Broadway roles of Elphaba and Glinda respectively, Nicole Parker and Alli Mauzey are sure to bring a stunning and dramatic presence to the Jones Hall stage while celebrating great women of the stage and screen.

The National Symphony Orchestra Pops today announced that Megan Hilty, known nationwide as triple-threat Ivy Lynn on NBC's hit Smash, will perform with the Orchestra November 23-24, 2012 in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall. Ms. Hilty will perform three concerts paying tribute to the music of Frank Sinatra, as well as the Rat Pack, Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James. The performances will be led by NSO Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke.
