Last week I had the distinct pleasure of speaking with Broadway headliner and SMASH Season Two Breakout star Jeremy Jordan about a wide range of topics, covering the vast majority of his career thus far in anticipation of the upcoming New York Pops Stephen Schwartz concert event, THE WIZARD & I: THE MUSICAL JOURNEY OF STEPHEN SCHWARTZ, on April 12 at Carnegie Hall. So, today, in this all-encompassing conversation, Jordan and I discuss his preparation for the sure-to-be sensational Schwartz event and provides analysis and ideas on the songs he will be performing as well as Schwartz's oeuvre in general. On Monday, April 29, The New York Pops marks its 30th birthday with a grand gala evening honoring the musical talents of songwriters Frank Loesser and Jule Styne, and the centennial of legendary entertainer Danny Kaye. Paula Zahn, host of NYC ARTS on PBS, will host the evening.

Tonight, March 8, 2013, one of Broadway's favorite leading men, Ryan Silverman, will appear with The New York Pops for Come Fly With Me: The Songs of Sammy Cahn. Steven Reineke's inaugural year as the new Principal Pops Conductor with the Toronto Symphony continues this week with Love Will Keep Us Together. An evening of all the best love songs from across the ages, the show promises to be glowing, glittering and above all, fun.
