The Ensemble of Shattered Globe Theatre is pleased to present AN EVENING OF BECKETT starring renowned Beckett protege and San Quentin Drama Workshop founder Rick Cluchey. The Chicago-born actor performs Beckett's classic one-act KRAPP'S LAST TAPE, featuring original direction by the playwright himself. The program concludes with SAM AND RICK, a moderated discussion with Cluchey about his personal experience with Beckett, the playwright's influences on art and theatre, life at San Quentin State Prison, and much more. Eclipse Theatre has announced the recipient of their Fourth Annual Corona Award: Steve Scott, Associate Producer of The Goodman Theatre. Eclipse's Corona Award honors an individual who has played an important role in supporting and nurturing the Chicago Theatre community as well as Eclipse Theatre.
Artistic Director Robert Falls announced today that he will direct a major revival and new adaptation of Measure for Measure, Shakespeare's darkly comic collision of vice and virtue, in Goodman Theatre's 2012/2013 season, March 9 - April 14, 2013. Also, director David Cromer announced partial casting for his production of Sweet Bird of Youth: Oscar, Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award-nominee Diane Lane appears as Princess Kosmonopolis and Finn Wittrock, who recently appeared in Broadway's Death of a Salesman with Philip Seymour Hoffman, is cast as the young-actor-turned-gigolo Chance Wayne.
