Underscore Theatre's Musical Theatre Festival is back with a bumper crop of new and original musicals. What's chaff and what's wheat? Read on!

Underscore Theatre Company presents its second annual CHICAGO MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL, featuring an unprecedented 13 world-premiere musicals by local artists. Created to showcase Chicago's burgeoning field of musical theatre creators, this year's festival will include ten full-length musicals and three one-acts.

BBC One, AMC and The Ink Factory today announced further names for the highly-anticipated television adaptation of John le Carre's novel, The Night Manager, including Russell Tovey (Banished), Alistair Petrie (Utopia) and Douglas Hodge (The Town).

Highly acclaimed British actors David Harewood (“Homeland”), Neil Morrissey (“Line of Duty”), Katherine Kelly (“Mr Selfridge”) and Tobias Menzies (“The Honorable Woman”) have been announced to join the star-studded cast of the television adaptation of John le Carré's novel The Night Manager, which started filming last month.

BBC One, The Ink Factory and AMC today announced a co-production partnership for the television adaptation of John le Carré's novel “The Night Manager.” Multiple Emmy® nominee Hugh Laurie (“House”) and Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers, War Horse, Midnight in Paris) will star in the mini-series, which is set to begin filming in spring 2015. Susanne Bier, who won an Academy Award® for In a Better World, will direct.

The popular show Altar Boyz now playing through January 20, 2013, at Theatre Memphis in the Next Stage is adding a late night 11:30pm show tonight, January 19 to accommodate the show's popularity. The show, dubbed 'Midnight Mass' also will replace the previously scheduled show for January 17 which has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict.
