The world premiere of DESSA ROSE, a new musical with book and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, music by Stephen Flaherty and choreography and direction by Graciela Daniele, begins performances Thursday (February 17) at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. Opening night for this Lincoln Center Theater production is Monday, March 21.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of André Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) will continue its 20th Anniversary season with THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, a new musical with book by Craig Lucas, music and lyrics by Adam Guettel and direction by Bartlett Sher.

Winners of the 2005 Richard Rodgers Awards competition for musical theatre were announced by the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

On December 15 at 7 & 9pm, the King Kong Room at The Supper Club (240 W. 47th St) rang in the season with a one-night-only concert of new holiday songs as well as some traditional favorites.
