The 50th Annual Drama Desk Awards Ceremony took place on Sunday, May 22. The big winners of the night were Doubt and The Light in the Piazza, each of whom received 5 awards. Outstanding Musical however, went to Spamalot.

Valour! Compassion!), Music by Stephen Flaherty and Lyrics by Lynn Ahrens (Dessa Rose, Seussical, Once On This Island, My Favorite Year) based on the E.L. Doctorow novel 'Ragtime.'

ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshops Begin April 27

The ASCAP Foundation is pleased to announce that four new musical works have been singled out for presentation at the ASCAP Foundation Musical Theatre Workshop in New York. The winning proposals were selected from nearly 130 applicants. The workshop will take place at ASCAP's New York offices at One Lincoln Plaza on April 27, 28, May 11, 12, 18 and 19 starting at 7:00pm sharp.
