Casting Announced For BILLY ELLIOT THE MUSICAL in Brisbane Next Year

Adult casting has been announced for the 10th Anniversary Australian Tour of Billy Elliot the Musical which opens at Sydney Lyric Theatre in October 2019 followed by seasons in Melbourne at the Regent Theatre from February 2020, Crown Theatre Perth from June 2020, QPAC's Lyric Theatre in Brisbane from July 2020 and the Festival Theatre at Adelaide Festival Centre from September 2020.

Stephen Daldry ('The Crown,' Billy Elliot, The Inheritance) directs his National Theatre of Great Britain's landmark production of J.B. Priestley's classic thriller An Inspector Calls, hailed as the theatrical event of its generation and winner of an unprecedented number of awards, including three Olivier's, four Tony's and seven Drama Desk Awards, with an exclusive West Coast engagement at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts from Tuesday, January 22 to Sunday, February 10, 2019.

St. Ann's Warehouse Announces Photo Exhibition to Accompany THE JUNGLE

St. Ann's Warehouse presents When Does a Place Become Home?, an exhibition of six acclaimed international artists and photojournalists currently working on the front lines of the world's migrant crisis, from the original Calais Jungle to Serbia to the Southern borders of the U.S. Photographer and filmmaker Miguel Amortegui, photographer Sarah Hickson, conceptual artist Omar Imam, Getty special correspondent John Moore, refugee photographer Abdul Saboor, and visual journalist Griselda San Martin provide a hard look at the complexities of immigration and migration. Their work documents the experiences of people worldwide embarking on perilous journeys to find safety in new homes or temporary stops along the way.

THE INHERITANCE Holds Special Performance For World AIDS Day

The Inheritance, the 2018 Evening Standard Theatre Award-winning 'Best Play' by Matthew Lopez, must end its strictly limited engagement at the Noel Coward Theatre on Saturday 19th January. Sonia Friedman, Tom Kirdahy and Hunter Arnold present the Young Vic production which opened in the West End on Saturday 13th October to widespread critical acclaim, with reviews recognising it as a modern classic, and one of the most important plays for many years.

Additional Casting Announced For IN THE WILLOWS - Plus New Music Video!

Further casting details for the hip-hop musical In The Willows have been revealed, as deaf street dancer Chris Fonseca will be among those joining the previously announced Clive Rowe. Choreographed by Rhimes Lecointe, the production will incorporate British Sign Language (BSL) into the choreography and BSL interpreted performances for a unified production for D/deaf and hearing audiences alike. The production opens at the Exeter Northcott on 22 February 2019, touring the UK until 1 June, with a press night on Thursday 21 March at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry.

THE JUNGLE Enters its Final Weeks In The West End

Audiences have just three weeks left to see the critically acclaimed production of The Jungle by Joe Murphy and Joe Robertson at the Playhouse Theatre in London's West End. Directed by Stephen Daldry and Justin Martin, the production has received widespread critical acclaim and won the South Bank Sky Arts Award in the 2018 Theatre category. Set in Europe's largest unofficial refugee camp, the Calais Jungle, which in 2015, became a temporary home for more than 10,000 people, the play transferred to the West End from the Young Vic where the traditional proscenium Playhouse theatre underwent a remarkable transformation. Housing Miriam Buether's set design, audiences are invited to sit at the benches and tables of the Afghan cafe in the Calais camp or in the Dress Circle.

Eric Woodall Joins NC Theatre As Artistic Director

North Carolina Theatre, the region's premiere nonprofit professional theatre, is proud to announce the hiring of a familiar face as the theatre's new Artistic Director. Broadway casting director and Benson, NC native, Eric Woodall, will join the NC Theatre team in November.
