From Thursday, October 7 through Sunday, October 10, the City of Newark and New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) will host the largest poetry event in North America, the 2010 Geraldine R. Dodge Poetry Festival.
On Sunday, May 2nd at 2pm, the Stephen Crane House in Asbury Park NJ celebrates the 150th birthday of 'Peter Pan' author J.M. Barrie with a free reading of 'The Adventures of Wendy & Michael', three short satires on children's fiction by Michael T. Mooney.
What's on Stage is reporting that actor Ian McDiarmid has fallen unexpectedly ill during curtain call of Monday's opening press performance of 'Six Characters in Search of an Author.' As a result, the Tuesday evening performance was cancelled as was tomorrow's matinee performance. Until further notice Stephen Crane will be taking over McDiarmid's role of the Father.
