Just last night, the new revival of Alain Boublil & Claude-Michel Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical Les Miserables opened at the Imperial Theatre. In anticipation of LES MISERABLES coming back home to Broadway, I've been listening to LES MISERABLES LIVE! DREAM THE DREAM (The 2010 Cast Album). The beautiful, exciting, and comprehensive recording was captured at the Wales Millennium Centre in 2009. For those curious about what they can expect from the new Broadway production, this recording serves as the perfect introduction to Chris Jahnke's new orchestrations.

It was announced today that Ramin Karmiloo, now starring as Jean Valjean in Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Alain Boublil & Claude-Michel Schonberg's Tony Award-winning musical Les Miserables on Broadway, will not perform on Thursday evenings starting April 3 for vocal rest. Prior to that, Karimloo will not perform Wednesday matinees on March 19 and 26. In addition, he will not perform from May 19-22 due to pre-existing obligations. During Karimloo's absences, Jean Valjean will be played by Aaron Walpole or Nathaniel Hackmann.

Go told Hola!: 'It's Miss Lea (Salonga) who really told me to go for the audition. But before that, I got to watch Miss Saigon in Canada in 2010. When I watched it, I told myself, "One day, I will do that." So in 2012, there was an audition and my friends encouraged me, but I was afraid. But eventually, they persuaded me, so I tried it out here in Manila.'
