I'm so excited to celebrate the season with my family and friends tonight, but I can't celebrate too much because THE SOUND OF MUSIC opens tomorrow night. It's been 3 months, a million snowstorms, a couple dozen parading swans, and 13 previews, and now it's finally time to open!

Written by Simon Stephens, adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel, and directed by Tony Award-winner Marianne Elliott, the play began preview performances on September 20, 2014 and opened to rave reviews on October 5, 2014. No, the Stratford Festival isn't doing another production of West Side Story. Chilina Kennedy already played that Maria at the Stratford Festival a few years back. The festival will produce the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical - The Sound of Music for their upcoming season.
