Theo Ubique Presents SWEET AND HOT, Previews 6/18

Theo Ubique's next show, Sweet and Hot: The Songs of Harold Arlen, is a musical revue of some of the 20th century's most popular tunes. It is presented in association with Michael James with previews at 8 p.m., June 18-19, opening night at 7 p.m., June 20 and running at 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays and 7 p.m., Sundays through August 8 at the No Exit Cafe in Rogers Park.

No Exit Cafe is being reconfigured to resemble a late 1940s/early 1950s neighborhood cabaret by Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre for its next show, "Sweet and Hot: The Songs of Harold Arlen," performed in association with Michael James, opening Sunday, June 20.

Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre's production of Chess, running March 7-April 25 at No Exit Café, combines cabaret theatre and concert concept styles. Although the backdrop is international chess competitions with grand masters from the United States and Soviet Union during the Cold War, the story is really about the woman in the middle.
