Meadow Brook Theatre is excited to announce a Cabaret Benefit on May 8, 2010 at 9:00 pm. The cast of the current musical 'Breaking Up is Hard to do' will be in attendance singing songs from their personal repertoires creating a musical evening to remember. Audiences will want to hum along to familiar tunes like 'Stupid Cupid,' 'Where the Boys Are' and 'Laughter in the Rain,' as well as the title song, during this comic revue of Neil Sedaka's songbook. Set in 1960 over Labor Day weekend, this is the story of what happens onstage and off at Esther's Paradise Resort in the Catskills.

Meadow Brook Theatre welcomes director David Edwards, who was part of the 'By Jeeves' Broadway cast. 'I was offered the job of standby for four of the leading roles,' explained Edwards. 'I had a great time with the show and I'm excited to bring that experience here to Meadow Brook Theatre's stage. 'By Jeeves', I thought, deserved another look, beyond Broadway, in a more intimate setting. A series of happy coincidences brought me to this marvelous group of collaborators at this wonderfully enterprising theatre.'
