On Wednesday, October 1st, Hip-Hop Theater Festival and The Center For Multicultural Education and Programs at New York University presented 'Voices of a People's History of the United States: The Remix'! Beginning in the summer of 2000, the annual Hip-Hop Theater Festival brings together the Hip-Hop generation and those interested in learning more about it in a celebration of the Hip-Hop culture.

Hip-Hop Theater Festival and The Center For Multicultural Education and Programs at New York University will present Voices of a People's History of the United States: The Remix featuring Oscar winner and acclaimed film director Tim Robbins, Golden Globe winner Lili Taylor, Black Thought of The Roots, Hip-Hop pioneer Bobbito Garcia, award winning HBO's Def Poetry Jam on Broadway spoken word artist Staceyann Chin, political activist and HBO's Def Poetry Jam on Broadway poet Suheir Hammad, NYU student leader Joshua Xavier, and many more, in collaboration with Hip-Hop Theater Festival and NYU's Center for Multicultural Education and Programs, give a modern voice to the unsung stories surrounding our American history.

Spektor with additional lyrics by Byron, Shelley, Spektor & Wordsworth and will be directed by Rob Urbinati with musical direction by Thomas Carlo Bo. Villa Diodati is an official selection of the 2008 New York Music Theatre Festival and will be performed at the 45th Street Theatre (354 W 45 Street).

Culture Project has announced further casting for their production of Rebel Voices, a stage adaptation by Rob Urbinati and Howard Zinn of Howard Zinn and Anthony Arnove's acclaimed book 'Voices of a People's History of the United States'

This fall, Culture Project will launch an ambitious and unique new series gathering today's most brilliant and visionary minds to explore and debate the case for the impeachment of President George Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney.

Culture Project has announced that it will produce Rebel Voices, a stage adaptation by Rob Urbinati of Howard Zinn and Anthony Arnove's acclaimed book 'Voices of a People's History of the United States' (Seven Stories Press). Performances begin on November 10 with an official opening night set for Sunday, November 18 with special guest Howard Zinn.
