The Metropolitan Room, deemed the best cabaret room in New York by New York Magazine, has announced its upcoming November calendar.

As one of the rare officially sanctioned acts of the Gershwin Centennial, her concert, Spider Saloff Sings Gershwin, has been touring the U.S. since 1996 and headlined the St. Petersburg Gershwin Festival in Russia (the birthplace of Gershwin's ancestors), including performances in the Gershwin family home.

Jenna gives a rundown of where she's been and who she's seen in the world of cabaret in the past week. The past week's events included the Algonquin Salon, Jim Caruso's Cast Party, a lovely concert at Tudor City Greens, and Cabaret Hotline Online's 19th Anniversary Celebration!

Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place, 175 E. Chestnut Street, announces two new Summer Music Series performances and two new Chicago Cabaret Professionals (CCP) Musical Mondays performances due to the overwhelming popularity of the cabaret concert programming launched in 2008. All Summer Music Series and Musical Mondays performances begin at 7:30 p.m. at Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed 'Best of New York' by New York Magazine, and 'an invaluable New York institution' by The New York Post, continues its 10th Anniversary season with the return of platinum-selling singer and songwriter ANN HAMPTON CALLAWAY for two performances only, June 6. In a rare solo performance, the acclaimed vocalist and songwriter will accompany herself on piano as she celebrates the release of her newest CD, 'At Last.' The show is at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

The Laurie Beechman Theatre, located within The West Bank Caf? (407 West 42nd St.), is pleased to continue our Friday night soiree, THE AFTER PARTY. Now going strong in it's third year, THE AFTER PARTY is billed as 'a weekly schmoozefest for the theatrically inclined.' Every Friday from 10:30 pm until the wee hours, pros from Broadway and aspiring stars alike belt it out on the stage of The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Join hosts BRANDON CUTRELL (MAC & Bistro Award winner) and ALYSHA UMPHRESS (XL Star) with RAY FELLMAN (Captain Louie) at the piano for this weekly party in the theatre district. The Chicago Jazz Orchestra took on a big challenge - honoring the work of the late, great Ella Fitzgerald and they met it with imagination, class, great music and sass. The result was an almost perfect afternoon hearing some of jazz's' great songs interpreted by three of today's most gifted jazz singers - Spider Saloff, Dee Alexander and Frieda Lee.
