Suzanne Petri to Bring TORCH, SASS AND SWING! to Davenport's This Fall

Chicago's acclaimed Jefferson Award nominated actress and winner of the After Dark Award for "Outstanding Cabaret Artist" and the Chicago Cabaret Professionals Gold Coast Award, Suzanne Petri brings her brand new show, TORCH, SASS AND SWING!, to Davenport's Cabaret (1383 N Milwaukee Ave). The show runs October 28, November 4 and November 7, 2015.

BWW Review: Phoenix Theatre Presents CHICAGO

In celebrating the New Year 5776, The Actors' Temple, founded in 1917 and located in a landmark building in the heart of the theater district since 1923, introduces a new initiative ARTS @ AT, to reinforce their historic commitment to serving Jewish theater artists and maintaining a relationship with the surrounding NYC arts community. Sophie Tucker, Red Buttons, Jack Benny and the Three Stooges are among the scores of well-known entertainers who frequented its striking halls. The Actors' Temple is located at 339 West 47th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenue.

Cheryl Ann Allen brings to life the music, humor and drama of one of the greatest stars in show business 'Sophie Tucker' in Sophie Tucker in Person written and directed by Ian Finkel. From the Vaudeville era to the Ed Sullivan Show, the audience will be dazzled and enthralled seeing Ms. Tucker brought back to the stage through her great music and anecdotes of her life.  Ms. Tucker is accompanied by her pianist and confidant Mr. Ted Shapiro.   During her performance, the audience will be transported to an era of entertainment where great songs and humor will leave them with laughs, tears and warm memories. West End's AMERICAN IDIOT Taps X FACTOR's Amelia Lily to Lead Show

X Factor star, Amelia Lily (playing Whatshername), will star in Green Day's explosive, award-winning Broadway musical American Idiot, as it blasts into the UK for its West End premiere from the 17 July at The Arts Theatre, Leicester Square. Running until 27 September 2015, with press night on 22 July, American Idiot - The Musical features the music of Green Day with the lyrics of its lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong, and book by Billie Joe Armstrong and Michael Mayer. The musical is being directed and choreographed by Racky Plews, with sound by Chris Whybrow, design by Sara Perks and lighting by Tim Deiling. Further casting will be announced in due course.
